You've heard about the Village. Now stand on it.
For the first time, we're opening the gates of the future Village site to anyone who wants to see it. Five acres of Central Florida land that, by this time next year, will be home to families rebuilding from crisis.
What you'll see
- A guided walk of the property — where the houses will sit, where the community garden goes, where the kids will play.
- Architectural renderings, large format, on easels under the oak trees.
- A live Q&A with the founders, the architect, and two of the families who will live here.
- A short program at sunset. Folding chairs provided.
Why we're doing this in person
It's hard to fundraise for a place people haven't seen. We can talk about the Village all day on a website, but standing under those oak trees, smelling the orange blossoms, watching the sun drop over the pasture — that's when you get it.
What to bring
- Comfortable shoes. The terrain is uneven.
- A water bottle. We'll have a refill station.
- An open heart. The families who are slated to move in will be there. They want to meet you.
